#Connecting to the Device
→Connect the programming cable to the serial PC interface (EASY-PC-CAB).
→You can activate the Communication View via the Communication button at the bottom of the Toolbox or by choosing View - Communication.

→Now let the programming software know which device you have connected to the PC. As we have been using easy512-DC-RC, which belongs to the easy500/700 device series, select this series and confirm your selection with OK. The programming software will automatically enter the Communication View.
→Choose the Connection roll-up dialog (Toolbox) and click the Online button or choose Communication - Online to establish an online connection.

→Choose Interface (COM 1 ... 9) to select the COM interface required.


#Program/Configuration
→Commands: for handling the program (transfer, comparison, delete, start and stop).

Device => PC
→The program saved to the device is transferred to the project view and displayed there, overwriting existing project view contents.

PC => Device
→The program created in the project view is transferred from the PC to the device. To perform the transfer, the device must be in its basic display state (e.g. status indication) and in operating state Stop. Otherwise, you are prompted to switch the device to the correct state.
 

#Simulation
→You can activate the Simulation View via the Simulation button at the bottom of the Toolbox or by choosing View - Simulation.
→The following figure shows the Simulation View when the simulation function is started.
